Dear Fat Girl Blog,

I am so so so so so so so sorry that I have neglected you.  It was never my intention to drop you by the wayside, and I feel horrible for it. You see, recently an old blog friend came into my life and I have been spending my few free blogging minutes with her. We were doing all sorts of healthy things together, like a trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo! (Where you are literally hiking up a mountain to get to the next exhibit!!) I also was exploring the daredevil in me, my husband convinced me to buy a motorcycle (for him) and then I decided since I spent so much darn $$$$ on it, I was going to learn to ride it. (Don’t worry though, I have ordered my helmet!)

I desperately want to apologize for neglecting you, I promise never to do that again. After all, you are truly my bestest friend in my weight loss journey.

You should be proud of me though! At my weigh in today, I hit 200 pounds! So next week at my weigh in, I should be in “Onederland!!!” Also, as of today it’s 13 days without a single drop of soda!

Until next time, (which should be soon!)

5% Goal Met!!!

It’s Thursday!! Which has lately become my favorite day! (Weigh In!!)

I was PERFECT on plan this past week. Absolutely perfect. I even got a bunch of Activity Points that I never used!! I avoided snacking when I wasn’t truly hungry. Tried to make healthy choices. And… it paid off!!!

I lost 1.6 pounds to reach my 5% goal!!! (Since restarting WW of course!) It also marks 30 pounds total loss since I started this journey (pre blog) in November (I started at 237)!!! (Of course, before I got back on WW it was a roller coaster journey, lose ten, gain five, lose ten, gain five… )

So after an absolutely fabulous week, I’m inspired and ready to keep going on Weight Watchers! I’m so going to lose this weight; and it’s finally feeling like a reality.  I can do this. I will do this!

*And now; I’m off to update my goals page!! I can cross one off!!*

PhotobucketThat’s me! In shorts!

Yep; wearing shorts. In public. For a picture. (Excuse the hair; it was early morning and then add in humidity… YUCK!)

I don’t remember the last time I wore shorts. Seriously. I know it was sometime prior to my honeymoon in 2004. (Because I remember that I had a rough time with how hot it was in San Diego in July wearing jeans to cover my blubber. I wouldn’t want to risk someone thinking I was a whale that had become stranded on the beach!)

So today? I am wearing shorts.

Me! A Fat Girl. In shorts. And; I don’t feel so bad about it. I don’t feel embarrassed. I don’t feel like people are pointing and laughing. I feel normal.

I just spent a week at home (4 weeks at a time we are on the road…) and that always equates to weight gain. At least in the past it has!!

This time? I stayed on plan! I counted my points… and even used my Flex Points for beer and Crab Legs!!!

Today; I weighed in…. and my numbers keep going down! (I’m so glad I’m back on WW!)

I am down 7 pounds from when I restarted Weight Watchers!! And down 26 pounds from Thanksgiving when I decided I was going to change something… (I was 237 at that time!!) I also threw out ALL of my clothes that were a size 20 or higher this week! I’m wearing 17’s an 18’s now!!! And size XL from REGULAR stores!! (I’ve been waiting for AGES to do that!!)

Pregnancy did change my body. Which is a big bummer. I have more “flub” up high rather than down low… which makes the muffin top look oh so nice. But I bought a few “Space Savers” (I couldn’t remember the term shapewear while I was shopping this week!) and they seem to help hold it in a little bit!!!  (Once I get my camera dumped onto the computer tonight or tomorrow hopefully I’ll have some progress photos!!)

So now I’m back and rededicated. Doing well. And hopefully blogging well agian!!

I go home in four days. Last time I went home I got SERIOUSLY derailed. (Gained back 1/2 of what I’d lost over that week and the next week after!) So this week; I need a game plan.

I’m already fighting with myself. I’d kind of planned a “splurge” day for Saturday even *eek* (Breakfast at my favorite bakery, lunch of grilled cheese and tomatoe soup, taco bell for dinner) but thinking about it… I eat about five grilled cheese sandwiches (to soak up all the soup) and I don’t need a cookie for breakfast. Plus, I found my crunch wrap on Hungry Girl!!!

So I’m compiling a list of things I’d like to try and make when I get home!! (Hopefully I can stick to this; finding lower points versions of my bad for you treats! (Since I eat mostly Subway and Truck Stop Grilled Chicken the rest of the month!)  (I will review EACH when/if I make it!)

Jac’s Health(ier) Swaps!

Instead of my usual Crunch Wrap at Taco Bell for 12 POINTS, I’m going with Hungry Girl’s version!! (Only 4!!!) I’m so anxious about this!! I can’t wait to make it, I may have it twice!  (And these Nachos for 5 points!)

Pizza is one of our staples at home; so I think I may try and make a healthier version (at least for me, if not for Hubs too!) Like the thin crust pizza here!  (On second thought; I’ll just have a slice or two of the real stuff… but this could make a nice lunch for me when i’m home alone!)

Maybe these Petite Turkey Meat Loaf’s too! And Hubby will NEVER guess that this Santa Fe Chicken is Healthy!! (Can you tell we like Mexican food?) And Fried Rice???!!!???!!!??!

Now I’m hungry!! (And everyone MUST go check out Gina’s Weight Watcher Recipes!!)

Before I go; I forgot to mention… I’m down 3 pounds this week!! So I’m back to 215! But I’m so rededicated that I counted my single tic tac! So this is going to work!!!!!

Yesterday my day (food wise) was so fabulous! It just reassured me that Weight Watchers is what I need to be doing for now.

I had 1 point left over! And I didn’t snack on junk food at all!! (That’s my biggest weakness; grabbing a junk food treat right before bed. I curl up in bed with my candybar/cookie/etc and read my book. But the problem is, I always say I won’t do it and I never leave points/calories/room for it.)

I hope today goes as well as yesterday.

I am truly feeling like I can do this!

Awhile back I quit Weight Watchers.

I had joined Spark People, and decided I would manage it all myself. I didn’t want to pay for it.

That proved to be a mistake. I’ve yo-yo’d ever since. Up and down. Up and down. The last 3 weeks I just did nothing, no counting, no nothing. Just the occasional attempt to make a better choice.

I hit my 5% goal almost a month ago, and today when I stepped on the scale… I had gained 6 pounds *eek*

So I rejoined WW. That worked for me. It worked well.

I’m doing it online for now; but in a month or two when I move back home I plan on attending meetings.

I am doing this. I can not fail.

Weigh In? 218 pounds *eek*
