I wasn’t always fat girl. In fact, most of my life I have been the exact opposite. (And yes, I suppose you could say I am one of those dillusional nutcases that seems to think it is possible to attain the 125 pound, perky body I had when I graduated from high school. (That was only 8 years ago, after all!)
Six years ago I left the comfort of my hometown in Nebraska and followed my boyfriend (now husband) six hundred miles away to Southern Colorado where he was in college. I missed my friends. I missed my puppy dog. I missed my job at summer camp. So, I ate. Combine that with my new couch potato lifestyle, and it’s a recipe for disaster. (Or an added 120 pounds!)
Last year, I managed to lose 30 pounds. But then I got pregnant, had a beautiful baby girl and gained all that weight back.
But, I’m not just fat. I am not totally absorbed in food and weight issues. In my spare time, I am a wife to my high school sweetheart. Mom to a beautiful baby girl. Aspiring photographer. Nursing Student. Long Haul Truck Driver. (Yep, I drive an eighteen wheeler, which makes dieting a bit difficult when most of your meals come from truck stops!)

[...] Meet Fat Girl! [...]
hi from another fat girl. Our stories are quite similar. I was super thin for most of my life. I even avoided the college 20. Then I married my sweetheart and moved half way across the country for his job. I missed family, friends, old haunts, the sights and sounds of home, just about everything!
So here I am.
These days I am working out and planning my meals. I have a great support system for my weight loss.
I’ll cheer you on for sure.
